Planning approved for 152 affordable keyworker homes in Southwark

Planning permission has been granted for a new affordable housing development in Southwark that will deliver 152 homes for key workers close to London Bridge.

The scheme, which will be delivered by Bouygues UK in partnership with Southwark Council, is designed to provide affordable accommodation for essential workers including NHS staff, teachers, firefighters, police officers and social workers.

Alongside the new homes, the development will include a community centre, new landscaped public spaces and a car-free neighbourhood, with sustainability measures including water and energy-efficient design.

The project aims to help key workers live closer to the communities they serve while supporting recruitment and retention across essential public services.
