Camden launches consultancy tender for Argyle Primary School redevelopment

The London Borough of Camden has launched a £250,000 consultancy tender to appoint an architect-led multidisciplinary team for the redevelopment of Argyle Primary School, supporting the co-location of Thomas Coram Maintained Nursery School.

The successful consultancy team will deliver full professional services across RIBA Stages 2–7, taking the project from detailed design through statutory approvals, procurement, construction and handover.

The scheme will reconfigure the existing school building and site to create an integrated education campus, providing modern facilities for both the primary school and nursery while improving the learning environment for children aged two to eleven.

Alongside design development, the appointed team will lead stakeholder engagement throughout the project, working closely with Camden Council, school leaders, parents and the wider community to shape the final scheme.

The consultancy contract is expected to commence in November 2026 and run until September 2028, with requests to participate due by 7 August 2026.

For architects, project managers, building services engineers and education specialists, the opportunity represents another investment in London's education estate as councils continue to modernise schools and create more flexible learning environments.
