Anglian Water has selected Ferrovial Construction, MWH Treatment, VolkerFitzpatrick and VolkerStevin Infrastructure for a major infrastructure delivery framework worth up to £3bn.
The framework will support Anglian Water’s capital investment programme as it upgrades water and wastewater infrastructure to respond to population growth and climate change across its operating region.
The procurement has been split across two contracts, each carrying an estimated value of £1.5bn.
Ferrovial Construction and MWH Treatment have been appointed to the first contract, covering major water infrastructure projects including pipelines, treatment facilities and wider engineering and construction works.
VolkerFitzpatrick and VolkerStevin Infrastructure have secured places on the second contract, covering water and sewer pipelines, pumping stations, drainage infrastructure and water and wastewater treatment facilities.

The framework will operate across parts of the North East, East Midlands and East of England.
Contracts are expected to commence on 27 August 2026 and initially run for five years to August 2031.
Subject to performance and continued requirements, Anglian Water can extend the agreements for a further five years, taking the potential framework term to 2036.
The framework will provide Anglian Water with long-term integrated delivery partners for major capital projects across its network.
