BSN Group starts Wolverhampton university refurbishment

BSN Group Construction has started work on a major refurbishment and extension programme at the University of Wolverhampton’s Springfield Campus.

The project includes a substantial extension and refurbishment of Block A, incorporating the adaptive reuse of the existing Grade II listed building.

Works will also include the full refurbishment of Block H, alongside a new-build extension and the creation of a new engineering workshop for students and staff.

The scheme forms part of the continued redevelopment of the Springfield Campus, which has become a major hub for construction, engineering and built environment education.

Glancy Nicholls Architects is part of the project team and has produced the architectural designs for the redevelopment.

Construction is now underway, with the works focused on combining retained historic fabric with upgraded teaching and engineering facilities.
