Vistry Group has secured planning approval from Tunbridge Wells Borough Council to deliver 87 mixed-tenure homes in Pembury, on the outskirts of Tunbridge Wells in Kent.

The scheme will provide a mix of housing options, with 35 affordable homes included in the development—comprising 21 for social rent and 14 for shared ownership—alongside homes for private sale.

Supporting Sustainable Communities

Beyond housing delivery, the development will introduce a range of community and environmental enhancements, including:

  • Public open spaces accessible to local residents

  • Children’s play areas

  • New pedestrian and cycle links

  • Upgrades to existing public footpaths

  • A Sustainable Drainage System (SuDS) pond to support local wildlife

Vistry will also contribute funding towards highway improvements and local infrastructure, including education, sports and recreational facilities, as well as heritage initiatives.

Meeting Local Housing Demand

The project forms part of wider efforts to deliver high-quality, sustainable housing in the region, supporting both local demand and long-term community growth.

The inclusion of affordable housing and community-focused infrastructure aims to create a balanced and accessible neighbourhood for future residents.
