Kier Group is looking to establish a dedicated supply chain to support a large-scale ground investigation programme linked to ongoing infrastructure works.
The contract, valued between £20m–£30m, will run for approximately 12 months (June 2026 – May 2027) and supports design development and Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) requirements.
The scope includes delivering 1,000–1,500 exploratory holes, covering a range of both intrusive and non-intrusive survey activities such as:
* cable percussion boring
* rotary drilling
* dynamic sampling
* structural coring (pavement and concrete)
* pitting and trenching
The opportunity presents significant potential for specialist contractors involved in geotechnical and ground investigation works.
