Portsmouth City Council has selected ECF as its preferred regeneration partner for the next stage of the City Centre North redevelopment, which is set to deliver up to 2,300 new homes.
The wider scheme will also include new commercial space, leisure facilities and public realm as part of a major transformation of the city centre.
ECF is a partnership between Homes England’s National Housing Bank, L&G Asset Management and Muse, and is targeting the delivery of 17,000 homes and more than one million sq ft of commercial space across England by 2036.
The Portsmouth project will add to ECF’s growing regeneration portfolio, which includes major schemes in Canning Town, Stockport, Bradford, Wolverhampton, Northampton and Stevenage.
The appointment marks a significant step forward for the City Centre North masterplan and will allow the next phase of development planning to progress.
