Canary Wharf Group is progressing plans for the major retrofit of 10 Cabot Square, with CBRE and RX London appointed to market the 630,000 sq ft former Barclays headquarters.
The building is being repositioned as a new Grade A multi-let office destination, with Howells Architects leading the design.
The proposals involve a deep retrofit of the existing 1990s building, retaining the structural core while substantially upgrading the office accommodation, façade, amenities and public realm.

The scheme will also introduce new outdoor terraces and wellness facilities across the upper levels, alongside changes to the ground floor intended to improve permeability and connections through the surrounding estate.
The reuse-led approach is designed to reduce embodied carbon compared with demolition and redevelopment, while allowing the building to meet modern environmental and energy performance standards.
The project forms part of Canary Wharf Group’s wider strategy to reposition older single-occupier office buildings for a broader range of tenants.
With leasing advisers now appointed, the 630,000 sq ft scheme is moving forward as one of the largest commercial retrofit projects currently being advanced in the Docklands.
