Planning permission has been granted for a new leisure centre and civic office development in Swadlincote, South Derbyshire, marking a significant milestone in the town’s wider regeneration programme.
The scheme has been designed by CPMG Architects and will replace the existing Green Bank Leisure Centre and local authority offices, creating modern leisure, community and workplace facilities while supporting the continued regeneration of Swadlincote town centre.
Enabling works are expected to commence during summer 2026, with the development scheduled to open in spring 2028.
