Panattoni submits plans for 1.04m sq ft Maidstone logistics park

Panattoni has submitted a hybrid planning application for a major new industrial and logistics development in Maidstone, Kent, with the potential to deliver more than 1.04 million sq ft of employment space.

The proposals include detailed planning permission for Phase One, comprising two speculative units of 100,000 sq ft and 150,000 sq ft, while outline consent is being sought for the second phase, allowing occupiers to develop bespoke built-to-suit facilities.

Located on a 70-acre site at Lenham, close to the A20 and M20, the scheme offers strong connectivity to London, the M25 and key UK and European freight routes.

Alongside the industrial accommodation, the development includes around 5km of new and upgraded roads, cycleways and footpaths, together with extensive landscaping and improved public access.

Panattoni says the development will help address the shortage of modern industrial and logistics space across the South East while offering flexibility for a range of occupiers.

If approved, the project is expected to create future opportunities across infrastructure, civils, steelwork, cladding, M&E, fit-out, landscaping and external works.
