Kori Construction Secures £47m of New Care Home Developments for Care UK and Barchester Healthcare


Kori Construction has strengthened its position within the UK’s care and later living sector after securing four new care home developments for long-standing clients Care UK and Barchester Healthcare.


The projects, with a combined value of £47 million, will deliver 274 new care beds across the South of England and continue Kori’s recent growth within the specialist care construction market.


The appointments build upon an established relationship with both operators, with Kori having previously delivered four projects for Barchester Healthcare and three for Care UK, alongside an additional Care UK scheme currently under construction.


Project Overview


Burnham, Buckinghamshire

Client: Care UK

Kori Construction will deliver a new 78-bedroom care home at Stomp Road, Burnham.

The development will include:

  • En-suite bedrooms

  • Café facilities

  • Celebration room

  • Hair salon

  • Communal lounges

  • Dining areas

  • Landscaped gardens

  • Private outdoor spaces


Weybridge, Surrey

Client: Care UK

A second appointment will see Kori deliver a 72-bedroom care home at Princes Road, Weybridge.

The scheme includes:

  • Demolition of an existing office building

  • Purpose-built care home construction

  • Specialist residential care facilities

  • Dementia care accommodation

  • Communal and landscaped external areas


Liss, Hampshire

Client: Barchester Healthcare

Kori has also secured the construction of a 64-bedroom care home at Wenham Holt, Liss.

The development will provide:

  • Residential care accommodation

  • Dining facilities

  • Day spaces

  • Communal living areas

  • Landscaped gardens


Crowthorne, Berkshire

Client: Barchester Healthcare

A fourth project at Lower Wokingham Road, Crowthorne will deliver a 60-bedroom nursing care facility.


The scheme will cater for:

  • Memory care residents

  • Communal facilities

  • Landscaped external spaces


Delivery Programme

The four schemes are scheduled to complete between late 2027 and throughout 2028.

Each development will incorporate social value initiatives focused on:
