Kori Construction has been appointed to transform the former Chiswick Police Station into a 50-apartment extra care retirement community for Birchgrove, with construction due to begin next month.
Located on Chiswick High Road, the development will convert the former police station into a later living community comprising 50 one and two-bedroom apartments for rent.
Residents will benefit from a range of communal facilities, including a restaurant, bar, wellness suite, community space and landscaped courtyard garden. The scheme will also include a dedicated space for local groups and charities, alongside new facilities for police community meetings and a replacement local police base.
The project is Kori Construction’s fourth development for Birchgrove, following completed schemes in Leatherhead and Banstead and the ongoing Hampton Court project.

Designed with sustainability at its core, the development will deliver a 100% biodiversity net gain through tree planting, landscaping, green roofs and winter gardens. The scheme is expected to reduce carbon emissions by 38.1 tonnes annually, representing a 77% reduction compared with baseline requirements.
Kori estimates the project will generate almost £23.8m in social value through local employment, apprenticeships, supply chain opportunities and community engagement initiatives.
Construction is scheduled to commence next month, with completion expected in Winter 2028.
