GMI Construction Group has secured places on four lots of the new Crescent Construction framework, strengthening its public sector pipeline across the Midlands and North of England.
The contractor has been appointed to every lot it bid for on the framework, which is operated by Crescent Purchasing Consortium (CPC).
The framework provides public sector organisations with a compliant route to procure new-build, refurbishment and wider capital works.
GMI’s appointments cover two NEC4 contract routes across both the North and Midlands, spanning professional services and design-and-build projects.
Unlike many construction frameworks, the lots are not divided into project value bands, allowing appointed contractors to compete for schemes across a broad range of sizes.

The framework is available to schools, colleges, universities, local authorities, blue-light organisations and other public bodies.
Clients will be able to appoint contractors through either direct award or further competition.
The appointment adds to GMI’s growing public sector workload, which currently represents around 26% of its live construction projects.
GMI operates from offices in Leeds, Birmingham, Manchester and Stockton-on-Tees, with the framework appointments aligned to its existing regional delivery structure.
