Glencar starts work on 91,245 sq ft industrial facility at SEGRO Park Coventry

Glencar has commenced construction of a new 91,245 sq ft Grade A industrial and logistics facility at SEGRO Park Coventry following its appointment by SEGRO.

The design and build project will deliver Unit 3C, a purpose-built industrial and logistics facility within the 215-acre SEGRO Park Coventry, located south of Coventry Airport.

The new facility has already been pre-let to Volvo Group, which recently announced a £24m investment to establish a new Regional Distribution Centre serving the UK and Ireland.

Once operational, the building will feature an automated storage and picking system to support faster and more efficient parts distribution.

Glencar’s appointment marks the third project it has delivered for SEGRO, continuing the companies’ long-standing partnership in the industrial and logistics sector.

The contractor’s scope includes the design and construction of a 12-metre clear haunch height warehouse, integrated two-storey office accommodation and all associated external works.

Construction is now underway, with completion scheduled for January 2027.
