Costain has been awarded a £2.08m contract to provide strategic highways support services to City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council.
The appointment covers the delivery of Strategic Delivery Partner (SDP4) services, supporting the council’s highways and transport programmes.
Awarded via the Crown Commercial Service RM6165 Construction Professional Services Framework, the contract will see Costain provide a range of consultancy and delivery support services, including:
programme and project management
commercial and contractual support
governance and assurance
business case development
specialist engineering advisory
The role is designed to ensure continuity of delivery across Bradford’s highways capital and operational programmes, particularly those backed by external funding.
The direct award was made to maintain critical delivery capability following the expiry of the previous contract, with the council highlighting the need to avoid disruption to live programmes and potential funding risks.
Subcontracting opportunities are expected as part of the delivery, creating potential openings across the supply chain.
