Bouygues secures £64m Crawley school rebuild

Bouygues UK has secured a £64m contract to rebuild Holy Trinity CofE Secondary School in Crawley under the Government’s School Rebuilding Programme.

The phased redevelopment will be delivered while the existing school remains operational, with the project designed by Jestico + Whiles.

The main element of the scheme will see construction of a new 9,300 sq m three-storey teaching building, allowing pupils and staff to move into the new facility before existing blocks are demolished.

Bouygues will also refurbish the 1,500 sq m Young Building and deliver five multi-use games areas, landscaped recreation space and a new car park.

The redevelopment will increase capacity to around 1,500 pupils and is scheduled for completion in late 2029.

The scheme is targeting BREEAM Excellent and will include rooftop solar panels, a ground-source heat pump and passive ventilation systems.
