Beauly Land brings forward mixed-use redevelopment in Beccles

A former commercial site in Beccles is set to be transformed after Beauly Land unveiled plans for a community-focused redevelopment that will deliver a new care home alongside residential development.

Part of the London Road site has now been sold to LNT Care Developments following the grant of planning permission for a new 66-bed care home. Construction is expected to begin this summer, helping to address growing demand for specialist later-living accommodation while creating new jobs for the local area.

The remainder of the site will be retained by Beauly Homes, which is planning a residential development of six new homes. Subject to the necessary approvals, work is expected to begin in early autumn 2026.

Beauly Land said the project demonstrates how underused brownfield sites can be repurposed to meet local needs by combining healthcare provision with new housing, while supporting long-term economic growth within the community.

With enabling works due to get underway in the coming months, the redevelopment represents another example of mixed-use regeneration bringing previously unused land back into productive use.
