11 out of the 16 homes at Cameron Homes’ £6.2m Scholars Court development, in the historic Worcestershire spa town of Malvern, have been sold ahead of the plots being ready to move into.
Located off Geraldine Road, the prime 2.1-acre site benefits from views of the Malvern Hills, with footpaths and hiking trails in easy reach. Featuring solar PV panels to generate green energy and EV chargers, the remaining detached and semi-detached new homes are priced from £325,000 - £565,000, with occupation dates scheduled from August to December.
A four-bedroom view home has just been unveiled, which is available to see by appointment via Connells Estate Agents.
Sarah Sargeant, sales director of Cameron Homes, said: “The familiar expression ‘location, location, location’ springs to mind when we talk about the early sales success at Scholars Court. It’s certainly ringing true why Malvern was crowned The Sunday Times’ Best Place to Live in the Midlands. The rolling hills, scenic walks, independent shops, schooling, transport connectivity, thriving cultural scene, and immaculately kept parks have all contributed to the town topping the bill with the esteemed judging panel.

“The development is proving to be especially popular with those downsizing from larger houses, to enjoy the benefits of a low-maintenance, energy-efficient new build in a special spot. We only have a handful of homes left to match with buyers now, so we expect to be sold out off-plan long before the construction programme concludes.”
The remaining plots for sale include two-bedroom semi-detached Brompton designs, priced from £325,000. A three-bedroom Cranmore house is priced at £390,000, while four-bedroom detached Danebridge and Heywood houses are priced from £565,000.
In addition to the green energy features, the homes are installed with smart Hive thermostats and Ring doorbells. The stylish Symphony fitted kitchens feature integrated Electrolux or AEG appliances. Bathrooms, en-suites and cloakrooms have contemporary white Ideal Standard sanitaryware, complimented with Aqualisa taps and Porcelanosa tiles.
The Touchstone Day Centre – which had lain derelict since 2016 – previously occupied the Scholars Court site, which is now being regenerated and redeveloped by the Staffordshire-headquartered 5* HBF housebuilder. Established trees located along the site perimeter are being retained, while a SUDS pond is being created to provide new habitats for local wildlife. There is ample residents’ parking within private garages and driveways. Designed by White Ridge Architecture, the exterior elevations of the homes are traditionally styled with red brick and render to reflect the local vernacular.
The new development is under half a mile from the shops, amenities and range of schooling within Barnard’s Green, which is 0.7 of a mile from Great Malvern train station, and only a mile from the main shopping street in Great Malvern. For travel beyond the immediate area, Worcester city centre is nine miles away, Cheltenham is a 24-mile journey, while central Birmingham is accessible via the M5 and M42 in around an hour.
Established in 1994, Cameron Homes is currently delivering over 200 homes across 11 live developments and has a pipeline of future sites expected to deliver circa 1,000 new homes.
