McGoff Group Steps In to Deliver £40m Glossop Housing Scheme

McGoff Group has stepped in to secure and deliver a £40 million residential development in Glossop, bringing renewed momentum to the previously stalled scheme.

The project, located on Glossop Road, has been fully overhauled and will now deliver 156 new homes, including 40 affordable units, under the name Etherow Grange.

High-Quality Housing Development

The scheme will feature a mix of two, three and four-bedroom homes, designed to offer high-specification living while enhancing the local street scene.

Delivery will be led by McGoff Construction as principal contractor through its housing brand Villafont Homes.

The wider group will support delivery, including:

• Panacea Building Systems – providing light gauge steel framing solutions

• Edencroft – delivering electrical services

Boost for Local Housing Market

The development is expected to strengthen Glossop’s growing appeal as a residential location, combining access to local amenities with proximity to the Derbyshire countryside.

Sales have already launched, with homes starting from £345,000, and a show home set to open in Spring 2026.
