Tier 1 contractors named on £3bn Constructing West Midlands framework

Acivico has named 20 contractors across three lots of the new Constructing West Midlands 3 framework, covering up to £3bn of public sector construction work.

The framework will support new build, refurbishment, retrofit, repair, demolition, enabling, M&E, civils, fit-out and infrastructure projects across the West Midlands and, for major works, potentially further afield.

Lot 1 – Minor Works, covering projects generally between £250,000 and £5m, has eight contractors:

• BSN Group Construction

• Dodd Group (Midlands)

• E. Manton

• J. Harper & Sons

• R1 Construction

Lot 2 – Medium Works, covering projects generally between £2m and £15m, has six contractors:

• Deeley Construction

• G.F. Tomlinson Building

• Interclass

• Seddon Construction

• Speller Metcalfe

Lot 3 – Major Works, covering schemes generally above £10m, has six Tier 1 contractors:

• Galliford Try

• Kier Construction

• Morgan Sindall Construction & Infrastructure

• VINCI Building

• Wates Construction

The three contracts are valued at £700m, £1bn and £1.3bn respectively, giving a combined framework value of £3bn including VAT.

The framework is expected to commence on 28 September 2026 and run for four years, with the option to extend by a further two years to September 2032.

Projects may be delivered using a range of contract forms, including NEC, JCT and the CWM model form, with flexibility for alternative arrangements where required.
