Kori Construction has commenced work on a new £19m, 70-bed care home development in Ipswich, delivered in partnership with Morrison Community Care Group.
The scheme marks the start of Kori’s first collaboration with Morrison Community Care Group and represents a key step in the contractor’s continued growth within the healthcare and later living sectors.
Holden & Lee has been appointed as Employer’s Agent, overseeing delivery through to completion. Construction is scheduled to begin on site at the end of May 2026, with practical completion targeted for winter 2027.
The purpose-built facility has been designed to provide modern, high-quality living accommodation alongside enhanced communal spaces, supporting evolving care standards and resident wellbeing.
Once complete, the home will be operated by Care UK, adding vital capacity to local care provision in Ipswich while also generating employment and delivering significant community social value.
Kori estimates the project will contribute more than £11m in social value throughout delivery.
Jordan Connachie, Managing Director at Kori Construction, said the project reinforces the company’s long-term strategy within the sector:
“We are proud to be partnering with Morrison Community Care Group on this important development. This scheme reflects our commitment to delivering high-quality care environments that improve outcomes for residents while supporting care providers. We look forward to building a strong relationship from this first project together.”
Paul Sokhi, Managing Director at Morrison Community Care Group, added:
“This marks an important milestone for our UK growth strategy. Kori Construction bring strong expertise in delivering healthcare developments and we are pleased to be working together on this flagship scheme.”
The Ipswich development further strengthens Kori Construction’s growing portfolio in the care sector, reinforcing its position as a specialist delivering modern, purpose-built healthcare facilities across the UK.
