GRAHAM Group has been appointed to progress a major new purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) scheme at the University of Bath.
The project, located at the Claverton Down campus, will be delivered via the Southern Construction Framework, with GRAHAM initially working under a two-stage Pre-Construction Services Agreement (PCSA) to support design development ahead of construction.
Once complete, the scheme will deliver around 960 student bedrooms, alongside a range of facilities including:
communal kitchens and social spaces
study areas and flexible learning environments
games and wellbeing spaces
supporting amenities such as laundry facilities
The development will feature a mix of en-suite cluster flats and townhouse-style accommodation, helping to expand on-campus living capacity for students.

Sustainability is a key focus, with the buildings targeting Passivhaus principles, supported by a fabric-first approach and low-carbon technologies such as air source heat pumps.
The scheme is designed to reduce energy demand, improve building performance and support the University’s wider net zero ambitions.
The project forms part of the University’s long-term investment in campus infrastructure, enhancing both student experience and accommodation provision.
With design development now underway, the scheme represents another significant addition to the UK’s growing pipeline of student accommodation projects, creating opportunities across the construction supply chain.
