Amey Defence Services has issued a new tender opportunity as part of its FDIS programme, seeking a principal contractor to deliver external refurbishment works across 38 residential properties in Catterick, North Yorkshire.
The contract forms part of the wider Regional Accommodation Maintenance Service for the North Region, delivered on behalf of the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO).
🏗️ Scope of works
The successful contractor will be responsible for delivering a range of external refurbishment and improvement works, including:
• Roof replacements
• Chimney demolition
• Replacement of fascias, soffits and rainwater goods
• Removal of two-storey extension roofs
• Replacement of canopies
• Removal and replacement of asbestos cement sheets to external sheds
• External lighting upgrades
• Provision of a full-time on-site liaison officer

• Constructionline Gold membership with relevant categories
• Compliance with MOD standards including SFG20 maintenance requirements
• Ability to operate in BIM Level 2 environments (where applicable)
• Compliance with MOD security standards (DefStan 05-138 where relevant)
• Commitment to social value delivery
Additional expectations include CSR policies, business continuity planning, and alignment with net zero / SBTi targets depending on workload and engagement level.
