A new education sector opportunity has been brought to market, with Aspire Learning Trust seeking a main contractor to deliver a multi-building expansion at Soar Valley College in Leicestershire.

The scheme, valued at approximately £6m, will see the development of additional teaching facilities aimed at increasing capacity and enhancing specialist learning provision at the Gleneagles Avenue site.

🏫 Project Overview

The proposed works comprise the construction of two separate teaching blocks designed to support both general and specialist education needs.

• Block A will be a two-storey facility delivering 14 classrooms, alongside staff and student welfare spaces.

• Block B will be a single-storey building providing three classrooms tailored for students requiring additional support, including dedicated quiet rooms and welfare areas.

Both buildings are set to be constructed using a steel frame with structural framing systems (SFS), with external finishes incorporating a mix of brickwork and charred timber cladding.

🏗️ Scope of Works

In addition to the main buildings, the contract will include:

• Associated hard and soft landscaping works
