Willmott Dixon has been appointed to deliver a £92m landmark education campus at Wembley Park for the College of North West London, part of United Colleges Group.
The project, secured via the Southern Construction Framework, will transform a long-disused site on Olympic Way into a state-of-the-art teaching and learning facility in one of London’s most recognisable locations.
The eight-storey development will provide around 14,200m² of space, designed across three stacked volumes. Specialist vocational workshops including construction trades will occupy the lower floors, with a central student hub opening onto a landscaped deck, and teaching spaces positioned above. A full-height atrium will run through the building, maximising natural light and connectivity.
The campus will feature a wide range of facilities, including bricklaying and joinery workshops, science labs, hairdressing salons and dedicated learning support spaces. Inclusive design is a key focus, with provision for learners with additional needs integrated throughout the building.
The scheme supports both United Colleges Group’s estate strategy and Brent Council’s ambition to create an education-focused district in Wembley, contributing to wider regeneration plans in the area.
Sustainability is also a core element, with the project targeting a BREEAM Excellent rating.
Once complete, the campus will play a key role in developing skills across construction, engineering and green technologies, supporting the next generation of workers across London and beyond.
Construction is expected to complete in spring 2029.
