SNG completes 69 affordable homes in Brentford

Residents are moving into 69 new affordable homes in Brentford following completion of a regeneration scheme in the London Borough of Hounslow.

The development sits on London Road opposite Syon Park and has transformed a former Royal Mail sorting depot into two new residential buildings delivering 100% affordable housing.

The scheme provides a mix of tenures including:

• 32 homes for London Affordable Rent

• 27 Shared Ownership homes (marketed as Post House)

• 10 London Living Rent homes (rent-to-buy)

The project has been delivered by Howarth Contractors in partnership with the Greater London Authority through the Homes for Londoners Affordable Homes Programme.

The homes incorporate a range of low-carbon features including air source heat pumps, solar panels, mechanical ventilation with heat recovery (MVHR), and green landscaping.

The scheme also includes a rooftop amenity space and 10% wheelchair-accessible units, with the remainder designed for future adaptability.

In addition to residential delivery, the scheme includes new office space fronting London Road, supporting local employment and wider regeneration of the area.
