Owl Group has completed its largest land acquisition to date, securing a 20.5-acre site in Madeley, Staffordshire for a new 188-home residential development.
The scheme, known as Madeley Grange, will be delivered across two arms of the business. Owl Homes will construct 96 open market properties across a mix of house types, while Owl Partnerships will deliver 92 affordable homes, including social rent and shared ownership.
Located on the southern edge of the village off Bar Hill, the development will also include 3.45 hectares of green open space, two SuDS ponds and multiple play areas, supporting the creation of a new community-focused neighbourhood.
A reserved matters application has now been submitted, with first homes expected to be delivered from late 2026 into 2027.
The acquisition marks a significant milestone for the Tamworth-based housebuilder as it continues to expand its footprint across the Midlands, with a growing pipeline of both open market and partnership-led housing schemes.
Professional support on the deal included legal and planning advisory teams, reflecting the scale and complexity of the transaction.
