Hortons secures consent for 175,000 sq ft Toyota fleet management centre in Leicestershire

Hortons has secured planning approval for a new 175,000 sq ft fleet management centre at Old Dalby Business Park in Leicestershire.

The facility has been pre-let to Toyota Material Handling UK on a 15-year lease and will support the company’s long-term operational expansion in the region.

The purpose-built development will be delivered on a 7-acre site near Melton Mowbray and is set to include production and workshop space, office accommodation, storage areas and a secure service yard.

Construction is already underway, with Amphion Construction appointed as main contractor. Practical completion is currently targeted for March 2027.

The scheme is targeting an EPC A rating as part of wider sustainability objectives linked to the redevelopment and expansion of Old Dalby Business Park.

Toyota Material Handling UK currently processes more than 12,000 trucks annually from its existing operation at the site, with the new facility expected to support future operational growth and workforce expansion.

Old Dalby Business Park spans approximately 39 acres and continues to undergo wider investment and redevelopment, including consent for additional industrial space on a build-to-suit basis.
