Glencar progresses major Minecraft-themed development at Chessington

Glencar has marked a key construction milestone on a major new Minecraft-themed development at Chessington World of Adventures being delivered for Merlin Entertainments.

The attraction, scheduled to open in 2027, will bring the globally recognised Minecraft brand to life through a fully immersive themed environment within the resort.

According to Glencar, the project has now progressed into the structural steelwork phase, with the development beginning to emerge above ground following completion of major enabling and foundation works.

The scheme involves a technically complex build programme, including:
