Fox Group accelerates growth with dual acquisition of Moore Readymix and DSD Construction

Fox Group has expanded its UK construction materials and services platform with the acquisition of Moore Readymix and DSD Construction.
The deals form part of Fox Group’s wider growth strategy, backed by Stellex Capital Management, which acquired a majority stake in the business in 2024 with a focus on building a lower-carbon circular construction materials platform.
Moore Readymix, based in Lancashire, supplies a full range of ready-mixed concrete products across construction, agricultural and domestic markets. The acquisition strengthens Fox Group’s position in the concrete sector, with investment already underway at the company’s Leyland hub.
DSD Construction, headquartered in Carlisle, specialises in surfacing, cold milling and in-situ recycling, working across both public and private sector clients. The business will continue to trade under its established brand within the wider Fox Group structure.
Fox Group said the acquisitions will increase material volumes, enhance vertical integration across its operations, and support its circular economy strategy by increasing the use of recycled and secondary materials.
Both businesses will continue to be led by their existing management teams, supporting continuity of operations while integrating into the wider group platform.
The latest transactions represent the fourth acquisition completed since Stellex investment and the largest to date, further strengthening Fox Group’s position across construction materials, recycling, civil engineering and logistics services.
