Breck Homes Reveals £380m Affordable Housing Pipeline Across North of England

Northern developer Breck Homes has revealed a £380m development pipeline comprising almost 1,700 affordable homes across 21 sites throughout the North West and Yorkshire.

The Lancashire-headquartered business is aiming to start construction on 14 of the sites within the next 12 months, representing around 900 affordable homes for families, couples and individuals across the region.

The announcement comes alongside the company’s latest financial results, which show annual pre-tax profits exceeding £13.3m and a tangible net worth of more than £24m.

Since launching six years ago, Breck Homes has delivered more than 1,000 homes in partnership with affordable housing providers, with a further 500 homes currently under construction.

The developer recently started work on its first Yorkshire scheme — a 53-home affordable housing development in Bradford being delivered alongside Incommunities.

Breck has also secured planning permission for a 20-home affordable housing scheme at Flockton Road in Bradford, while a further 34-home development at Brompton Avenue is awaiting planning determination.

The business said several additional sites remain within its wider Yorkshire pipeline, alongside expansion opportunities across the North East and Midlands.

Andy Garnett, CEO of Breck Homes, said the company’s growth has been driven by its delivery model, partnership approach and ability to progress sites quickly.

Further construction activity is expected across multiple affordable housing sites over the coming year as Breck continues expanding its regional pipeline.
