Bouygues plans 30,000 hires globally with 2,700 UK vacancies targeted for 2026


Bouygues has announced plans to recruit 30,000 people worldwide in 2026, including approximately 2,700 roles across the UK.


The recruitment drive will span the Group’s construction, infrastructure, engineering and energy businesses, with opportunities concentrated across London, Birmingham, Liverpool and Manchester.


UK recruitment will take place across several


Bouygues businesses including:


  • Bouygues UK

  • Colas Ltd

  • Colas Rail UK

  • Bouygues Travaux Publics UK

  • Equans UK & Ireland


The hiring programme reflects continued demand across key sectors including construction, civil engineering, infrastructure, decarbonisation and digital services.


Roles will range from vocational and technical positions through to engineering and project leadership opportunities, including:


  • Maintenance technicians

  • Electricians

  • Installation technicians

  • Works supervisors

  • Project managers


The company said many of the vacancies will support major industry trends including the energy transition, infrastructure delivery and digital transformation.


Alongside external recruitment, Bouygues is also developing a new AI-powered recruitment platform designed to support internal mobility and career progression across its global workforce of around 200,000 employees.


The wider international recruitment programme includes 1,250 vacancies in Switzerland, 400 in Australia and 300 in Morocco.


Jean-Manuel Soussan, Senior Vice-President and Director of Human Resources at Bouygues Group, said the business is focused on attracting people who want to contribute to sectors driving major global transformation, including energy, construction and digital technology.
