A £15.7m deal has been agreed between First Choice Homes Oldham (FCHO) and Vistry Group to deliver more than 100 affordable homes at Fitton Hill.
The development will see 101 homes built across two sites off Rosary Road, including the former Fitton Hill Secondary Modern School and a nearby greenfield parcel.
Planning permission is already in place, with work well underway on the first site and construction on the second parcel now commencing. Completion of the scheme is targeted for the end of 2027.
The project will deliver a mix of homes for social rent, rent to buy and shared ownership, with a strong focus on family housing. Nearly two-thirds of the properties will be three and four-bedroom homes, helping to address local demand.
In total, 64 of the 101 homes will be larger family units, alongside a mix of two and three-bedroom properties across the sites.
All homes will incorporate energy-efficient features aimed at reducing running costs for residents, supporting wider sustainability goals.
The scheme represents one of FCHO’s largest developments to date and forms part of its wider strategy to deliver at least 600 new homes in the coming years through partnerships with developers such as Vistry Group.
