William Davis Homes Secures Approval for 500-Home Chesterfield Development

William Davis Homes has secured detailed planning approval from Chesterfield Borough Council for a major 500-home residential development off Dunston Road, Chesterfield.
Building on the success of the housebuilder’s Skylarks development, the scheme will deliver a mix of new homes alongside extensive green infrastructure, enhanced walking and cycling routes, and high-quality public open space.
Plans also include the reinstatement of former cricket pitches and associated facilities, as well as land safeguarded for a new one-form entry primary school and a local centre, helping create a sustainable new community.
The development is expected to support local employment during construction while contributing to Chesterfield’s long-term housing supply and community infrastructure.
William Davis Homes worked alongside Pegasus Group, G+L Landscape Architects, Ridehalgh Nicholls Consulting, RammSanderson Ecology and Baker Consultants to bring the scheme forward.
