Plans Submitted for 170-Home Development at Twigworth, Tewkesbury

An outline planning application has been submitted for a 170-home residential development at Twigworth, near Tewkesbury, marking the latest milestone for Mac Mic Land’s South West portfolio.

The proposals cover a 31-acre site and have been designed with a strong focus on landscape, green infrastructure and community spaces alongside new housing.

The scheme includes plans for:

  • Up to 170 new homes

  • At least 40% affordable housing

  • A new roundabout providing access from the A38

  • More than 50% of the site retained as green space

  • Public open space, community allotments and children’s play areas

  • Nature recovery areas and Suitable Alternative Natural Greenspace (SANG)

Mac Mic Land says the development has adopted a landscape-led approach, ensuring the scheme integrates with its surroundings while delivering long-term environmental and community benefits.

The outline application has now been validated, with the project team including Mac Mic Land’s South West team alongside planning consultancy McLoughlin Planning.

If approved, the development will contribute towards local housing delivery while providing significant green infrastructure and community facilities.
