Darlington Approves New Commercial Quarter Office Development and STEM Centre Plans

Darlington Borough Council has approved funding to progress two major regeneration projects that will help reshape the town’s commercial and educational landscape.

The schemes include a new 50,000 sq ft office development in the town centre and a flagship STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) Centre at Darlington Science Park, both being delivered in partnership with regeneration specialist Cityheart.

New Town Centre Office Development

A new office building is planned for East Street on the site of the former Sports Direct store, directly opposite the new Darlington Government Hub currently under construction.

The development will provide:
