AtkinsRéalis has been reappointed as the civil works design partner for the Sizewell C nuclear power station after signing a new five-year framework agreement to support one of the UK’s largest infrastructure projects.
The appointment will see AtkinsRéalis continue providing multidisciplinary design services for the 3.2GW nuclear power station in Suffolk, building on its involvement with the project since 2019.
Under the new agreement, the engineering consultancy will continue delivering digital design, engineering expertise and programme support to help improve delivery certainty and reduce project risk throughout the civil works phase.

The framework also reinforces AtkinsRéalis’ commitment to the local supply chain and skills development, with its STEM education programmes having already engaged more than 1,500 students across Suffolk.
C remains one of the UK’s most significant energy infrastructure schemes and is expected to play a key role in strengthening long-term energy security while supporting the country’s transition to low-carbon electricity generation.
The latest appointment underlines the continued momentum behind the project as it moves into its next phase of delivery.
